Prior to starting DSI, Joe had experienced a great deal of success selling custom engineered components at another manufacturer’s representative agency, from August 1997 until June 2005. While employed there, he rose to Sales Manager, yet still worked the sales territory of northern Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Interestingly, this piece of territory was earlier developed and run by his wife for the previous seven years.

Prior to selling, Joe’s career was in the food wholesale business. In nine years he rose through the ranks at Guest Services (GSI), a $130 million company. He started as their Operations Analyst at GSI headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia and left as their Director of Operations for their largest and most profitable subsidiary, Lancaster Foods. As Director of Operations, Joe was responsible for managing over sixty warehouse employees, five managers, and twenty-one truck drivers.

Prior to GSI, Joe was an investment broker for five years and is also a Certified Financial Planner; he grew up in Buffalo, New York; graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University; is married to Laura and have two beautiful daughters. In his “spare time” he likes to play golf and ice hockey.
